Warrior’s Essence

A warrior's soul is shaped in sacred fires’ embrace
Where phoenixes soar and dragons find their rest
In realms where myth and reality intertwine
A warrior knows no defeat...
Nor ceases to strive.

Eternally ready for the dance of battle
He stands ready to champion peace
His gaze haunted by the shadows of past trials
Strength drawn from the depths of his heart’s core.

Freedom and courage form his steadfast code
Unyielding in his own resolve
Loyal first to self, then to those in need
Defender of the helpless....
Guardian of the weak.

His scars are medals which empty souls mock
Pain the pulse of his being
Loneliness and sorrow etched in every line
He leaves no soul behind
For in his heart, all find a place of solace.

Some call him Saint ...
Others brand him a Sinner...
For his fire or desires, he does not apologize
He knows the dance of both good and evil
Battling not just for his own fate
But to preserve the very essence of life.

In his mind, a Russian roulette spins...
Without bullet or trigger
Where fire...
Love...
Hope and pain come together
Amidst a world that judges with closed eyes
His oath to protect grows as steadfast as an oak.

A tortured soul enduring silent agony
Though hurting, he does not give up
He succumbs only to the beat and ecstasy of life
Each dawn he rises, undeterred and defiant
Protected by ancient Gods...
Blessed by the life’s breath...
He is a warrior....
Hope’s beacon to desperate hearts.

Immortalized by poets
For we recognize his fire
His courage unparalleled
Perfectly imperfect.

His magick, a divine gift...
Unmatched in its grace
To the free spirited....
To awaken the wild divine warrior is the ultimate quest.

I believe, with quiet fervor, that one soul can shift the course of many. I write not from abstraction, but from the raw immediacy of lived experience and learned studies - from the labyrinth of my own challenges, triumphs, questions and awakenings. In offering the contours of my inner world, I hope to awaken in others a remembrance of their own power, their own unclaimed wholeness.
