Here I sit thinking about our love
The one others can't understand 
The one they judge without knowing
Without understanding we are soulmates
Forever linked through good and bad times.

I am hurricane and you are tornado
Two wounded souls who forged a bond
Our love is solidly ground on friendship
A loved blessed by the ancient gods.

We are the voice of reason to one another
Despite traditions, we live differently than others
And the years pass we grow stronger
We do not fear getting older.

Which at times follows me around. 

You've taught me a lot about people
Where once I would go with open arms

Yet we keep making it regardless of their spite
For when the bones are good, 
The foundation remains solid
A place where love and care can thrive.
