Intertwined

Time means nothing when two souls are intertwined
The space between filled with magick and desire
One could get lost in the depth of our beings
Two enigmas joined by the power of love.

I do not need to know you to understand you
For my soul has known yours since before this time
The simple meetings of our gazes ignited a fire
Which reigns supreme over all things and time.

I do not wish to tame you 
For it is the wild in you which satiates my cravings
Like water to arid desert you are
And I sit here contemplating,
The next time I shall make you mine.

I seek to touch beyond your flesh
To brand you as you have branded my heart
For despite the absence, I shall remain yours
You have all of me, and I do not want it back.

Upon your absence you are memory
I live to see you one more time
United by an invisible bridge 
Which no one can tear apart.

Your whole being cast a spell on me
Your eyes enchanted my soul
Your body left me mesmerized
Your words brought down the walls 
Which for too long surrounded my heart.

With you I want to be more
By your side I feel like the heroes of old
You feed my strength, as you do my passions
Soft and vulnerable like the gentle dance of butterfly
Strong and powerful like an Arabian mare
Let me be the refuge after your wings get tired
Let me be the stallion that runs by your side
For without you in my life
Life has no meaning
No purpose
Only strife.

Among the turbulent waters of life my soul found yours
Let us make love once more upon a bed of silk sheets
Let our bodies become one as they savor deep pleasure
Through ectasy we shall reach the stars
Under which I shall hold your head close to my heart
That you may know the song it sings for you
For you are the beat that keeps me alive.
