Magickal Woman

(Rough Copy)

Like a wondering butterfly you entered my life
Transforming what was gloom into miraculous moments
Moments which resemble the gentlest of spring rains
Or the soft sun rays on a summer evening.

The passionate flame of love once more burns
As I contemplate your eyes, I get lost
I aim to search you soul yet find myself
What is this?
What enigmatic creature has taken hold of my senses?

Let me fall sleep in the safety of your arms
Soothed by the gentle echo of your song
The winds the cocoon which protect us both
For they know our love is a newfound treasure
Meant to release the chains imposed on our souls.

This is more than illusion
These is what poets spoke of
I finally know what love is
A magickal elixir which I didn't know existed
Now it is here in the form of a woman
Melancholy hits at the idea of losing you
For now, that I have tasted love
I have no desire to let you go.

I believe, with quiet fervor, that one soul can shift the course of many. I write not from abstraction, but from the raw immediacy of lived experience and learned studies - from the labyrinth of my own challenges, triumphs, questions and awakenings. In offering the contours of my inner world, I hope to awaken in others a remembrance of their own power, their own unclaimed wholeness.
