In the dance of life, they found their way
A May and December, come what may
In the eyes of those too blind
Judgment and jealousy reign
But their love unyielding, knows no stain.
She, with wisdom beyond her years
He, with scars and unshed tears
Together they faced life’s tribulations
Their path was planned by the ancients
Their love, a beacon brightly worn
Even though some bitter souls like to scorn.
Where others had made him believe he was nothing
That he needed to hide and pretend
She saw in him a wounded soul
And gently, she helped him become whole.
Through his pains, she walked with him
For she knew the terrain too well
And so she guided him to see
The beauty of his soul which lay within
Providing him the strength to release the lies
And set his soul free
Embracing his perfectly imperfect divinity.
In his arms, she found solace
In his love, she learned to grow to trust
Despite the dark times
Her fears are soothed…
Her doubts erased…
In their embrace, all worries effaced.
With every word, with every touch
They encourage each other to love much
Between them, there are no masks
They do not fit society’s molds
But that’s okay because they don’t need roles
There are no actors
NO desire to play on stage
Instead, they are raw human beings
Sweet sinners and Blessed saints
Building a home on solid ground
Where the heart can rest
And the mind remains sound.
Though unconventional, their love grows
Exploring life with sweet delight
While their soul remains soothed by life’s song
Stronger with each ebb and flow
This tells them they are on the right path
They looked to the future, hand in hand
Exploring new worlds, together they will stand.
For in each other, they found what they were searching for
A best friend…
A confidant…
A lover…
A guide…
In love's embrace, they'd safely glide
Encourage by those who lovingly share their path
Through storms and sunshine, side by side
Their May and December…
Love's sweet tide.
