Life Is But Moments

Rough copy

What is life?
Is life our body, soul or mind?
Is the rollercoaster we experience life?
No matter for today I will rise

Today I am not frustrated
Today I intend to create life
All my hurdles dissipate before me
I've decided this is my life
I shall be its commander,
Not its servant...
But it's Master

Things will manifest as I wish them to
Life now unfolds before me without haste
No matter what is yet to come
I honor my choices
I am not afraid

Life is a beautiful chaotic dance
With me, an imperfect divine being at its center stage
Worthy of enjoying each and every tune it plays
Because life is but the moments I create

Always being true to who I am
I am the sinner and the saint
I am the fighter and I am divine
These are the premise within my thinking
These will be my reasoning and my condition
Life is but moments
I don't intend to let them go by

Stand up with me
Take back the uniqueness of your life
Who cares if no one understands your reasons
Who cares if they keep asking why
It depends on you not to fall when life declines
Although the ground may feel shaky
Hold on with all you got

Just as life takes you for a dreaded ride
Just as you feel you are about to hit the ground
As your insides are churning
And you feel as if there is no escape,
That is the moment to recognize
You are to walk your unique path

There is no need to get anxious or frustrated
For soon the ride like the wind will change direction
And once more you shall rise

That is what life is all about
The light and the dark
The tears and the joy
No need to fear
For life is but moments
Life is you and I!

I believe, with quiet fervor, that one soul can shift the course of many. I write not from abstraction, but from the raw immediacy of lived experience and learned studies - from the labyrinth of my own challenges, triumphs, questions and awakenings. In offering the contours of my inner world, I hope to awaken in others a remembrance of their own power, their own unclaimed wholeness.
